The blues winds through the south like a power cable, lighting up bars and clubs from the bayous and deltas of the Gulf Coast northward to the famous music cities of Nashville and Memphis in Tennessee. Next week a small group of creatives from the Sony Alpha Imaging Collective will join with Sony Music and take to the road, tracing a path through some of the most musically-rich towns and cities in the country. You're invited to follow along on Instagram and on Alpha Universe as the group travels from New Orleans, Louisiana to Nashville, Tennessee. Along the way they'll follow the great Mississippi Blues Trail making stops to explore Graceland and some of the more intimate venues along Beale St. in Memphis. Throughout the musically-tinged adventure, you can experience these special places through the Collective's eyes as they make photos and videos of the journey.
And one more thing. There's been a last-minute addition to the itinerary. In advance of its availability at the end of the month in retail stores, the Collective members on the trip will have a chance to shoot with some of the few Sony α7R III cameras that are currently in the US. You can check out their impressions of the new camera as they see what it can do along the way.
