“Finally, we have an update to the whole [Alpha] 6000-series. The [Alpha] 6700 definitely has a lot of the features that we've been waiting for. It's really finally just caught up. We have the amazing video features like the 4K 120 which is definitely a surprising feature to me. I didn't think we would get 4K 120 on a camera like this, but Sony is really giving the camera the hybrid specs it truly deserves.” – Jason Vong
“This has 4K 30 live streaming built into it. It also has the new Timelapse feature from the ZV-E1 in the 6700. So what is it like for video? It's pretty much the same as the FX30 which is not a bad thing because the FX30 is a cinema-quality little camera when it comes to video. Tons of dynamic range, it has great sharp freaking images and honestly you can't go wrong with either when it comes to video and I just think it's crazy that we get this level of performance for this price in something this small.” – Terry Warfield

“I loved the new ergonomics and arrangements, it felt intuitive to use and the photo/video mode switch button makes it great for hybrid shooting. It is a perfect camera for traveling thanks to its compact design but also as a backup camera for those who want to have something small. The AI autofocus felt just as good as on the Alpha 7R V.” – Pierre T. Lambert
"I think this camera is more beginner friendly now, especially with the whole introduction of the My Image style. It's this feature where it really takes advantage of the touch screen where it makes it like you're shooting with a smartphone. You get to control the background focus, the blur, the color, the brightness and everything. So they really streamlined it for someone who might be just picking up this camera for the first time or looking to upgrade from their phone quality. Plus you get the new or you get the APS-C sensor, so they're getting better dynamic range overall for their photos and videos." – Jason Vong
“I believe that the [Alpha] 6700 is a worthy successor to the [Alpha] 6600. Essentially what they did is they took all the stuff from the A7R V, and the ZV-E1, put it in the 6000 series body. They took the FX30 sensor, gave it all the sauce for video and added in all this other stuff like literally just piled on and piled on stuff, and the result is a highly polished APS-C camera for not a lot of money. Under $1500, I think this camera is going to be a smash hit for Sony.” – Terry Warfield
“What surprised me the most was how good the image looks for video. It got me thinking a lot about my ‘why’ I use Full Frame. Now having SLOG3 and S-Cinetone is HUGE. Being able to put the LUT I use in post on the camera for viewing really coincides with this too. The size, feature set and competitive price of it makes it a no-brainer for a compact B-Camera when I’m traveling.” – Chris Brockhurst
"Now that the camera has been updated with the current system and with the touch screen – everything about it is just more upgraded. It feels more new and very future proof. So I think it would be a lot easier for me to pick up and adapt and use." – Vivienne Lee
“I think just in general, the user experience has just been a lot better. We've already had this experience using the full frame cameras, even the FX30, but it's just so nice to have it in the Alpha 6700. Honestly I'm really happy to see an APS-C camera with all of these great features along with the Electronic Viewfinder because that's just been very integral to what we do. Especially when we travel and we go shoot on location, often we have lighting that's not very favorable for us, so we would have to rely on the screen or the viewfinder. So just having that along with all of the latest features has actually been very helpful to what we do.” – Jason Vong
